I have always loved sitting on a porch swing outside in the quiet mornings, or peaceful evenings listening to birds waking up and watching the bees dance around my garden. In Texas, space is big and open and the wind blows EVERY day. I grew up watching my mama garden, and my daddy build things in and outside of the house so I've never been one to shy away from getting my hands dirty.
When reality TV started to tap into home improvement and renovation interests, I was inspired. There were so many things I took away from my favorite shows hoping to one day bring them to life in my own home. I've always believed that your home should be a place of rest from the chaos that finds us each day and I love to be surrounded by reminders of what shaped me as a kid; hard work, genuine love poured into everything my mama would make, and an appreciation for nature's beautiful gifts.
Each piece I design and make stems from those reminders with warm and welcoming farmhouse charm. I love natural wood accents and simple useful everyday items but they always have something a little extra that makes them special; that's the whimsy. Floral embossed stamps, engravings and cutouts, rich warm, sometimes bold colors, and intricate scrolling around my designs are part of my signature style and creates a more elegant feel to the farmhouse aesthetic.
